Potential Dispositions
A criminal case can end in a variety of ways. The term “Disposition” refers to the end result of a case. The way a case is “disposed” of in the State Attorney’s Office is important. Each potential disposition has different future consequences. If your record has not been sealed or expunged, these dispositions can be seen on background checks, your federal record, by the State Attorney’s Office, and by law enforcement.
